Tomato Salad

This simple salad was inspired by one I remember my mom making during the summers when I was a child. I know hers had homemade dressing but since I was just trying to recreate it quickly with items on hand, I discovered this version is delicious, and often requested!

Tomato Salad Ingredients:

  • cherry or small tomatoes cut in halves or quarters (about 3 cups)

  • finely chopped red onion (about 1/4 large onion)

  • crumbled feta cheese (about a cup)

  • fresh basil leaves thinly sliced (3-5)

  • Kraft Zesty Italian dressing (about 1/4 bottle)

Optional: Add chopped yellow or orange bell pepper.

Toss it all in a large salad bowl and serve! It does refrigerate well but is best eaten fresh.

Enjoy! Diane
