Glamping

We went on our second camping trip since buying our new camper in July and it is very quickly turning into our favorite thing to do! It is easy to tell that the dogs love it as much as we do! We take long walks on nature trails and short hikes (Daisy is only 4 months old) and they love to sniff all the the sniffs!! They both LOVE water and we are always finding places to camp with water for them (and the view). LOL

I am having fun turning this little camper into our “nest” and filling it with all the things that make it super cozy…quilts, candles, pillows, books, baskets, family photos and slipcovering all the cushions! We have had some canvas photos printed for the walls and will collect things as we travel to personalize our space even more.

Chris is busy rewiring it into a “smart” camper so we can monitor and adjust the settings of everything while we are away (so we can leave the dogs knowing they are ok for a few hours) and upgrading locks and internet, and installing all the things I ask him to do.

This weekend we added a new light fixture and enjoyed a rainy night watching the tv Chris installed in the bedroom. Our campfire dinner got rained out so we put our steak-potato-onion-carrot dinners in the oven and they were so yummy! We seasoned them with W sauce found HERE and we will definitely be making that meal again!

Currently we have short weekend trips planned for once a month, but eventually we hope to take the camper on longer trips and spend more time roaming around to all the beautiful places we can find. We are happy with our little “practice” trips for now, and we are really looking forward to the planning and adventuring that is to come.
