10 Minute Tip

Sometimes looking at the whole dang mess is just too overwhelming. When that happens I choose one drawer or bin or box or shelf to organize. I go through the items on top and put them where they belong, I pull out what does belong and dust or clean the surfaces, then when adding the items back, I take a moment to decide if I will ever truly need or want to use the items again. If so, I arrange them in rainbow/size/type order and leave it tidier than I found it. If not, the unwanted item go into a tote or bag located near the door, they will get donated or added to the free table at the next guild meeting.

It’s so easy to be overwhelmed by our bursting stashes, piles of books, never ending notions and supplies we don’t even remember acquiring. Taking it one space at a time is so much easier than feeling bad about being too scared to tackle the whole room!

You can do it! Diane
