Savannah

Have you ever looked at more than one quilt and thought… those need to be combined? I was thinking this when I looked at my Crazy Daisy quilt from the cover of my first book SCRAP QUILT SECRETS and then in that same book is Razzmatazz. Both are large bed quilts, but I loved the paper piecing elements from Razzmatazz and the sweet applique border from Crazy Daisy. So mixed those two elements into a smaller quilt just to see what would happen.

The result? I simple love it! This quilt is happy and bright and looks like springtime blooms in the garden squares that I remember so fondly from our first trip to Savannah a couple of years ago. The colorful walking paths framed by an array of happy flowers in every color imaginable.

While the paper piecing is the same from the original quilt, I did resize and rework the flowers just a bit to add some whimsy. This quilt has been smiling at me from the wall across from my home office for months now, and I thrilled to finally be able to share the pattern with you! I hope you enjoy the process of making it as much as I did!

Enjoy every stitch!
