templates found HERE
Download the templates and cut out the 6 shapes from the orange fabric and one shape from the wool. Pin 2 orange shapes together and sew a 1/4 ‘‘ seam along one long side. Add another orange shape the same way. Repeat with the remaining 3 shapes. Pin the 2 pieced units together and sew leaving a gap for turning. Turn the orange unit right side out and stuff with walnut shells or stuffing. Hand stitch the pumpkin closed. Using the pearl cotton or twine and a long needle, insert the needle through the pumpkin from top to bottom. Repeat this until the thread or twine is lined up on all of the stitching lines once it is pulled tight. Secure with a knot. Stitch the button to the green leaf shape and secure it to the top of the pumpkin. The templates can be enlarged to any size you prefer.
Enjoy every stitch! Diane
