Sparkle Quilt Along!

It’s time again for the free summer sew along! As usual, we will sew along together, using our own scraps, and sharing fun tips and tricks and tutorials to make it easy. There will be multiple sizes to choose from so that you can customize your quilt.

This quilt uses all 2 1/2” units so you can really dig into your scraps and stash. It also makes for easy piecing and allows for lots of variations.

This quilt was originally inspired in a red, white and blue version that I made while watching the Olympics on tv. It’s been a fun quilt to share and I’m really excited to make a new variation on this quilt that will look so completely different.

I’m almost certain I want to make the top version but I might add a border like the other options.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

You need to decide if you want to join in on the fun (OF COURSE YOU DO!) and start looking at your scraps and stash to see what you want to play with. The background can be one fabric or scrappy as well.

Stay tuned for the list of materials needed, the schedule and the instructions. Don’t forget we will be sharing all of the fun and progress on social media as well using the #sparklequiltalong and #butterflythreadsquilting hashtags to make our photos easy to find.

I can’t wait to see what you choose! I will get busy sewing and making some helpful hints to share so you can get your quilt made easy and accurately!

Enjoy every stitch! Diane
